Q: What is the difference between small group personal training and commercial gym classes?

Great question! Small group personal training and commercial gym classes differ

mainly in their focus and personalisation. Small group personal training offers a more personalised approach, with typically fewer participants – Our groups are capped at 6, allowing our trainers to provide more individual attention, tailor exercises to each member’s needs, and closely monitor progress. This setting not only fosters a closer knit community but also ensures that your workouts are optimised to your personal fitness goals.

In contrast, commercial gym classes often accommodate larger groups and follow a more standardised format. These classes are great for high-energy group experiences but offers less individual guidance compared to small group settings. If you’re looking for a more personalised touch and direct support from our trainers, small group personal training might be the perfect fit for you.

Q: What is strength-based training?

Strength-based training involves exercises designed to improve muscular strength and endurance with the use of free weights, weight machines, resistance bands or body weight exercises. You’ll learn progressive overload, compound movements and isolation movements. By integrating strength-based training into your fitness routine you can enjoy numerous health benefits including increasing your muscle mass, improving your metabolism, enhancing bone density, improving joint health and improving your overall functional strength. It’s an excellent way to enhance your overall fitness, strength and body composition.
